Outdoor spaces should welcome everyone, and so should this website and our workshops. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What we do
- Write descriptive text for photographs so screen readers describe what each image shows.
- Use readable type, strong color contrast and clear headings.
- Build menus, the directory search and forms so they work with a keyboard.
- Label every form field and explain errors in plain language.
- Test pages on phones, tablets and desktop screens.
Workshops
Our wreath workshops are held at the Phinney Center in Seattle. If you use a mobility device, prefer a seated workstation, need larger-handled tools, or have another request, email us before your class and we will set up your space ahead of time.
Tell us what's not working
If any part of the site or a workshop is hard to use, write to hello@pnwoutdoorliving.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will get you the information another way while we fix it. We aim to reply within three business days.
Accessible gardens
Designing outdoor spaces that are easier to move through and enjoy is part of our work. Look for our accessible garden design kit on the Design Kits page.
